Career Description

Air traffic controllers rely on highly sophisticated equipment to manage Air Force air space. One small malfunction can ground an entire air wing or strand planes in the air. Ensuring this doesn't happen is the job of Airfield Systems specialists. From maintaining and repairing fixed radio and meteorological systems to setting up this same equipment in remote locations, Airfield Systems specialists are instrumental in making sure the Air Force accomplishes its mission.
