Band Officer

Career Description

The missions our Airmen perform are great accomplishments and sources of pride. And we mark our most notable achievements with ceremonies that rely on music to honor, strengthen and inspire us. Band Officers uphold our world-class standards for all military and civilian performances, including ceremonies, parades and concerts. They oversee symphony-level audition procedures, hone our gifted Air Force band personnel into peerless professionals, work with celebrity musicians and tour internationally. They also work as liaisons with music associations, publishers, manufacturers and educators to ensure Air Force bands have the state-of-the-art materials they need for truly stellar performance.

Becoming an Officer
