Obviously, climate control plays a large role in the comfort of our Airmen. It also plays a large role in our national security. From our Air Command facilities to our Space Command facilities, we operate thousands of computers that generate massive amounts of heat. Keeping them cool and operating is paramount to our ability to achieve our mission. Of course, cooling computers isn't the only task of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration specialists. You'll also be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems in climates ranging from desert heat to arctic cold.
After eight-and-a-half weeks of Basic Military Training, every Airman goes to technical training to learn their career. Here's the basic information about Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration technical training:
