Career Tasks

  • Perform preventive and major maintenance on liquid fuel systems used for storing, distributing and dispensing gasoline and jet fuel
  • Manage periodic inspections on liquid fuel systems for leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings and inoperative electrical and mechanical components and make necessary repairs or adjustments
  • Ensure precautionary safety measures are being followed to prevent fire, explosions and injury to personnel as you will work with highly flammable petroleum products
  • Inspect and repair the many electrical and mechanical components that make up an Air Force fuel system and learn how the system operates
