Career Description

In this role, you'll work with a team of ear, nose and throat doctors prepping patients for surgeries, as well as helping those patients with their after-surgery care. Whether you're based in the United States or overseas, you'll play an important role in the lives of the Airmen you treat.

Career Tasks

• Perform various administrative tasks
• Prepare patients with ear, nose and throat (ENT) problems for medical examinations and procedures
• Screen patient records, take medical histories and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of common ENT problems
• Conduct various types of hearing tests, assist in evaluation of patients for hearing aids, make ear mold impressions and fit hearing aids
• Make microscopic examinations of special surgical instruments and maintain specialized surgical packs for each type of surgical procedure
• Check specialized clinic equipment and ensure that the equipment operates properly
