A career in the Air Force isn't your average desk job. In fact most of the men and women of the Air Force spend the majority of their time standing up. So when a medical problem involving their feet occurs, it can mean a great deal of discomfort and loss of work. As an Air Force Podiatrist, you'll do what you do now, but in the Air Force, you could do it abroad, and you'll always do it without the hassles of running a practice or the red tape of insurance companies.
To ease your transition into the Air Force, you'll enter a five-week training regimen designed to educate you on the ways of both the military and military healthcare. You'll participate in physical conditioning five days a week, leadership training and classroom studies.
