Audiology/Speech Pathologist

The Air Force offers a dynamic range of experience in the evaluation and treatment of patients with hearing and speech disorders. Audiologists conduct the full spectrum of diagnostics, including audiologic and vestibular evaluation, electrophysiology and hearing aid and cochlear implant services. Audiologists are a crucial part of the Air Force hearing conservation program, which provides education, training, clinical support and program management. Speech-language pathologists perform duties in the medical setting for patients with speech, language, feeding and swallowing disorders. Speech-language pathologists treat those with biologic risks and developmental delays, head and neck cancers, brain injuries and other trauma-related disorders. Both specialties have opportunities to engage in research-based practice as well as training and supervision of technicians, students and resident physicians. PAY CHART
