As an orthodontist, you will examine, diagnose and treat irregularities and malocclusions of teeth and malrelations of jaws as well as direct orthodontic services. Your responsibilities will include interpreting radiographs, models and clinical photographs to determine the nature and extent of deficiencies caused by irregularly positioned teeth and malrelations of the jaws. The orthodontist also coordinates orthodontic services with other dental and medical services, prepares diagnostic and treatment records and instructs dental officers and technical assistants in orthodontic procedures and techniques.
