
MUNITIONS SYSTEMS
ASSEMBLING OUR AMMO
As a superior military force, we work with some of the most advanced weapons in the world. It’s the great responsibility of Munitions Systems specialists to assemble and process nonnuclear munitions. Working with a high level of attention to detail and extreme care, these experts handle, store, transport, arm and disarm weapons systems to ensure the safety of our Airmen and the success of our missions.
- Receive, identify, inspect, store, recondition, ship, issue, deliver, maintain, test and assemble guided and unguided non-nuclear munitions
- Handle, store and transport weapons and locally dispose of nonhazardous unserviceable munitions
- Prepare munitions for loading on aircraft
- Inspect munitions for serviceability
- Conduct inventories and correct discrepancies
- Establish and evaluate performance standards, maintenance controls and work procedures

MINIMUM EDUCATION
High school diploma, GED with 15 college credits, or GED

QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of basic munitions systems course
- Normal color vision
- Normal depth perception
- No record of emotional instability or domestic violence
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license to operate government motor vehicles
- Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 39
