In the U.S. Space Force, we are challenged every day to find new heights. Working within the space domain, our people launch rockets, keep satellites safe and operational, and develop technology to defend our way of life on Earth through our interests in space. We protect the hopes and dreams of America and exploration, while preparing for the 22nd century. When humankind asks “What if”, the mission of Space Force is to be the answer.
We track about 30,000 objects orbiting at over 17,500 mph, and our entire way of life depends on us protecting our satellites from attack day and night. So yeah... Space is hard.
The U.S. Space Force is here to defend the freedom to operate in space. We must defend the high ground. Space defines not only our daily lives, but every battle on land, sea, and air.
Space is closer than you think. We need men and women right now who want to solve the hard problems of space, who want to be the protectors and defenders of life as we know it today, and life as we can only imagine it in the future.
