As technology advances, so does the way we fly our aircraft and complete our missions. Responsible for maintaining all aspects of flight controls, Bomber/Special Integrated Instrument and Flight Control Systems specialists ensure that every system in the cockpit operates without any flaws. These professionals review and analyze the instruments to make sure everything from GPS to in-flight warning systems meet exacting standards and perform perfectly whenever they’re needed in the air.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION

    A High School Senior (age 17 or older)*, High school diploma, a GED, or 15 college semester hours

    *High School Students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year.

  • ASVAB SCORE REQUIREMENTS

    70 Electronics (E)

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledgable in interpreting and applying mechanical, wiring and electronic circuit diagrams
    • Completion of advanced Writing Maintenance course
    • Experience isolating integrated avionics systems malfunctions
    • Normal color vision
    • Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
    • Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
    • Must be at least 17, but has not reached age 42 on the date of enlistment
