MHU-139 Electrical, Environmental and Avionics Technician

The systems onboard our aircraft play an integral part on any successful air mission. It’s the job of MHU-139 Electrical, Environmental and Avionics Technician specialists to provide the precision maintenance necessary to keep each of these systems running perfectly. These experts utilize a variety of methods, including schematic and wiring diagrams, to ensure these systems are able to meet the needs of the pilots throughout every mission.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION

    A High School Senior (age 17 or older)*, High school diploma, a GED, or 15 college semester hours

    *High School Students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year.

  • ASVAB SCORE REQUIREMENTS

    70 Electronics (E)

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of interpreting and applying mechanical, wiring and electronic circuit diagrams
    • Normal color vision
    • Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
    • Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
    • Must be at least 17, but has not reached age 42 on the date of enlistment
