What you’ll do
- Lead medical service programs that improve prevention, treatment, readiness and combat capability
- Manage medical personnel, facilities and policy
- Advise commanders on health, staffing, training and readiness
- Direct inpatient and outpatient medical services

Officer Training School
5.5 weeks

Military Training Location
Maxwell AFB, AL

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathic medicine

- A state license to practice medicine
- Completion of 1 year of graduate medical education
- Experience in a position with responsibility for medical management, including clinical service or department-level leadership
- Obtain and maintain clinical privileges after completing Graduate Medical Education (GME) training at the first duty station
- Completion of Officer Training School
- Must be at least 18 years old and not have reached your 48th birthday
