    Transferring from Air Force Active Duty?

    Air Force Active Duty Airmen are offered two separate programs for transitioning to the Air National Guard. Contact your in-service recruiter at ANG.A1.ISR@us.af.mil for more details on requirements and processes.

    • Palace Chase

      For active-duty Airmen who are interested in applying to separate early and join the Air National Guard.

      Growth

      When you transfer into the Air National Guard through the Palace Chase program you will continue to grow valuable career skills and benefits.

      Early Release

      Airmen approaching the halfway point of their first enlistment, or Officers who have completed two-thirds of their Active Duty Service Commitment (ADSC), are eligible.

    • Palace Front

      For active-duty Airmen who are completing their contract and would like to join the Air National Guard with no break in service.

      Part-Time / Full-Time

      You can serve in the state of your choice either full-time or part-time, one weekend per month and two weeks per year.

      Seamless Transition

      When you transfer through the Palace Front program you can maintain your rank and AFSC or cross-train into another job. You'll also continue enjoying the benefits of the Air Force without incurring a break in service.
