The Kansas Air National Guard has three main bases across the state located in Topeka, Salina and Wichita. They perform seven unique missions, training and preparing the citizen Airmen to respond to the governor of Kansas for state emergencies or to the call of the president in times of crisis.

Air National Guard members are paid equally based on their rank and years of service. You’re also eligible for additional compensation based on your position and where you’re stationed.

01 Education Benefits

Kansas Air National Guard offers comprehensive education benefits to its members, including up to 100% tuition assistance toward bachelor's, master's, and PhD programs.

02 Medical Benefits

Kansas Air National Guard members on state-summoned active duty for 30 days or more may be reimbursed for health insurance premiums.

03 STATE TAX ADVANTAGE

Military retired pay that is included in federal adjusted gross income is not taxed in Kansas. Qualifying veterans can also get tax exemption for up to 2 privately owned vehicles.

04 MISCELLANEOUS

Kansas state employees get 12 days of military leave per year and legal defense for line of duty. Kansas Air National Guard members also get exclusive access to distinctive auto plates.
